How to play

Every shift is intentionally short. The goal is to make timing readable, not to ask players to grind for a result.

The boat moves along the waterline. Choose a cast cost, position yourself above a creature, and release the hook. Your line automatically returns after a catch or when it reaches the seafloor.

01

Choose your spot

Move the boat with the arrow keys, the on-screen buttons, or touch controls. The boat can be positioned before each cast.

02

Pick a cost

A higher cast cost has a wider hook reach. It is useful for faster creatures, but drains the shift’s energy more quickly.

03

Time the line

Press Space or use Cast line when a creature is below the hook. A successful catch immediately brings your line home.

04

Finish the dive

Catch three creatures to complete the shift. You can review your result, then begin another clean session.

Short sessions

A single shift is designed to take just a few minutes.

Clear rules

Every score, cost, and objective is visible while you play.

No account

Your active score remains in the browser tab and is not sent to us.

Play anywhere

The interface supports modern desktop and touch browsers.

A few practical ideas

Play with intention

The game is simple by design, but a little planning improves every short shift.

  • Begin with low-cost casts.

Use 5-point casts while you learn the timing and creature movement.

  • Wait for a clear path.

The hook travels vertically. Place the boat first instead of trying to chase a creature during the cast.

  • Save energy for the fast lane.

Use a larger cast cost only when a fast or valuable creature gives you a realistic target.

  • Build a combo.

Consecutive catches increase your combo. A missed line resets it, but does not remove captured creatures.

Frequently asked questions

Everything essential about play, score, privacy, and support is collected here.

Still need help? Contact us
Is Rivuqela Ocean Arcade free to play?

Yes. The game is free to play in the browser. It does not offer in-game purchases, paid entry, redeemable points, or monetary rewards.

Do I need to create an account?

No. You can start a session immediately. The game does not require a username, registration form, or social login.

How do I control the boat?

Use the left and right arrow keys on a keyboard. On touch devices, use the Left and Right buttons shown under the game. Space or the Cast button lowers the line.

What happens when I complete three catches?

The game shows a session summary with your score, best combo, and catches. Select “Start another shift” to reset the board and play again.

What are cast costs for?

Every cast spends energy. A higher cost gives the hook a slightly wider catch radius, helping with quick-moving targets. Lower-cost casts conserve energy.

Does a missed cast reset my progress?

A miss spends the selected energy cost and resets the current combo, but keeps your score and completed catches. The shift only ends after three catches or when energy is depleted.

Are my scores saved or shared?

No. Scores are kept only in the active page session and are removed when you refresh or close the tab. We do not provide leaderboards or transfer session scores.

Why does the game need a modern browser?

The ocean scene uses the standard HTML Canvas API. Current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari, and modern mobile browsers support it.

Where can I report a problem or ask a question?
